August 31, 2005: Queens Of The Stone Age gig
In contrast to Saturday's concert, Monday dealt me a big of slice hard rock from the band everybody wants to see - Queens Of The Stone Age. This was supposed to take place at Somerset House on 7 July, but was postponed due to the London bomb attacks. This date, at Brixton Academy was also for the fans of other cancelled London shows due to various reasons.
August 28, 2005: Bootleg Beatles gig
It's been a while since my last blog. I guess I've been quite busy. Either that or I've been playing Halo2. Anyway, last Saturday Steph & I went to see the Bootleg Beatles at Kenwood as part of this summers Picnic Concerts.
The format is fantastic! The concert starts 7:30pm. You turn up a couple of hours earlier with a picnic, sit in the sun and relax.
August 10, 2005: Browse all the houses
Imagine you could browse a map of the UK and see what the houses look like anywhere. Cor - that would be brilliant!
Just as well we can then. Thanks to some brain-box called Andrew we now have OnOneMap.com using Google Maps. I could spend hours on here, it's fascinating stuff.
August 02, 2005: Live Halo2 level
In my spare time, I have been known to play a spot of Halo2 on my massive brick of an Xbox. The wonders of Xbox Live mean I can play against my friends without having to smell them.
The Bungie website provides us with mountains of game data as well as a feed of recent games, but, unfortunately no live player ranking.
Now, thanks to the marvellous Vince, that exactly what we have. Now I can add this to my About page.
