September 24, 2004: One handed sausage roll

A pork & leek sausage baguette with ketchup & mustard, pinned together using wooden stakesYou know when you're eating a baguette & as you bite it all the filling falls out the end. Well as I can only use one hand to feed with, I was forced to find a new way of holding it together.

Use some wooden stakes to pin the thing together. If you don't have these then standard cocktail stick would suffice.

Great idea! You can see a similar approach being taken here - http://myhighhorse.com/index2.html

My personal favourite, especially for a Saturday afternoon treat is the SLT. Thats a BLT but with sausages. And the sangers have to be baked in the oven. It also works well without the Tomato, but the SL doesn't sound quite as good. Another good tip for 'the ultimate SLT' is add mayo on the bread nearest the letteuce. And if you're totally bonkers you can add some red and brown sauce. Yum Yum Yum!!!
