July 28, 2004: Sony Ericsson T610 to K700i
Got my phone upgraded this week to a shiny new Sony Ericsson K700i. I did have the T610 before which I was very happy with, so I'm comparing the new one to that.
The screen is so much clearer & the camera is a lot better with a light on it too, which I really like (also very handy for looking around in the dark). I can now also record movies (with sound) & take panoramic photos, with the new fancy little feature.
July 21, 2004: Kentucky Fried Cruelty
Yesterday PETA released their disturbing results of their undercover investigation into a Pilgrim's Pride slaughterhouse in Moorefield, W.Va. (USA) which KFC selected as their "Supplier Of The Year".
Along with their findings PETA caught many acts of animal cruelty on camera. I've watched some of it & I'm not vegatarian, but I wont ever be buying from KFC again.
Find out more at Kentucky Fried Cruelty.
July 19, 2004: The newer new iPod
Oh boy! There's a new iPod. Apple are now selling 20GB & 40GB "Click Wheel" iPod's at the cheaper prices of £220 & £300 respectively. There's no 15GB version anymore & the 20GB does not come with the dock, although it is dock compatible (for another 30 beans).

July 13, 2004: Addictive lunchtime gaming
For lunchtime games Mousebreaker's Blast Billiards ranks pretty high. Now, after giving the table a good iron & a lick of paint they've released the even more challenging version 5.
July 12, 2004: Sherlock Holmes tourist trap
Having some out-of-towners staying with me at the moment, we took to the streets on London to experience the main attractions & points of interest.
One that should really should be missed is the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 239 Baker Street (not really 221B as written in Arthur Conan Doyle's books as it doesn't actually exist).

July 06, 2004: Euro 2004 Virtual Replay
OK, the European Cup 2004 is over. But thanks to the BBC we can still watch all the goals in their Virtual Reply centre. You can watch each & every goal from any angle in super slow-motion - fantastic!
You will need Shockwave Player to use this.
July 03, 2004: Little bit of fun everyday
I've always found it difficult to take advice as advice rather than a command from someone wiser than myself. One piece of good I always remember was; listen to people's advice & only use the bits you like. This has helped me in a big way.
Sometimes advice can come from where you least expect it. In this case, my 4 year old niece. A young person who knows little more than her 2 parents & her favourite Barbie doll, but yet can pass on a message that reminded me that life is there to live.
"You've got to have a little bit of fun everyday"
After all, if you can't please yourself, than who can you please? A simple rule which I think we should all follow & coming from the same little girl who, on her way home from a theme park with her family (Mum, Dad & 12month old brother) was asked what her favourite ride was answered - "The car journey home, because we could all do it together" - I think it good advice from a trustworthy source.
